Angry Fucking people...

Got woken up today by a call from the police saying they had a report about damages to my car. Get over there to find that some asshat has decided to break the passenger window and rummage around. For fuck's sake! I haven't had the thing for a month and already some idiot who has problems with "mine" and "yours" is fucking up what should be a period of pure bliss. I feel like murdering someone right now.

So now the car is at the shop, waiting to have the window replaced and the door repainted. Hopefully they haven't fucked up anything inside the car as well...

Not happy!

The really sad part is that there was fuck all of value in the car. So the entire thing was utterly pointless for everyone involved. I guess they figured a shiny new BMW must have lots of expensive stuff in it...

Sad to har this. I know it's no comfort, but my new F12 was half wrecked by a bus after 5 months, and the F20 got parking scratches the first week
Why can't the morons have their own planet

Sorry to hear!

I had the bonnet badge, rear wiper blade and rubber window seal stolen off mine 3 months ago, it absolutely infuriated me. My business partner had bought a brand new X1 at the same time, and had his window smashed about 3 weeks after that. In his case, of all things, they stole the owners manual. What on earth would they do with it?

They really do need their own planet.

Us enthusiasts (unlike most people) like our vehicles in perfect condition, so any damage at all is painful.

If it's any consolation, I damaged my own car this Sunday. I cut over a curb I didn't see, and did this to my left front and rear wheels...

I almost cried!

Auch, damn parking scratches, almost inevitable...damn, the parking space gets smaller and smaller....as a countermove to that, I often park my car in the middle of 2 parking spaces, I can highly recommend this. I havn't got anyone yet, but I know its just a matter of time...

Hi Ossman,-damn, it's so sad to hear, I really feel sorry for you!!!
Fucking loosers, they should be executed right on the spot, -cut a finger for each scratch they make.. -an eye for an eye..
-Luckily, Once in a while they also get caught....

I guess your method will will cost you some money
I've started to park on the most remote spot I can find, since there is a good chance not to get idiot neighbours there. And if you do get someone besides you, it's a good chance it is another careful guy

Really sorry to hear about the vandalism to the cars. It is so hard, especially when we are so protective and careful with our cars.

All my cars are protected with Supaguard and over several occasions, minor scratches in supermarkets have simply wiped away. Does nothing for scuffs or more deliberate damage which costs ££ to keep in showroom condition.

Kerbing wheels is a particular problem especially on the bigger alloys.
http://goo.gl/AEwWG / Alloygator seems like an interesting product and i am considering it for both my F07 and F20.

Hope this helps. Bad luck guys!

This doesn't work for me, whenever I do that and return to the car somehow there's always an old banger parked next to me. Maybe they feel sorry for my lone car?

I usually look for a parallel parking spot, but the best parking spots are to be found next to freshly waxed old bimmers

At least those wheels are not diamond cut therefore hopefully should be easily repaired without too much cost.

I fond the solution against parking scratches and vandalism : I moved to the US! Large parking spaces and people generally more respectful. Seriously, I was living in Brussels, Belgium and it was plain impossible to keep a car intact just because of lack of respect (or jealousy) of dumb people.

I've been driving in Belgium recently and I found it surprising how so few drivers respected pedestrian crossings, compared for instance to France or the UK. Sometimes I had to literally be inside the crossing waving hands to make them stop and give way... No offense intended to Belgians, it's just the way I experienced it there.

When I go working in other countries, I always get a safety briefing by email about the country I am visiting. When going to Belgium, I am warned that the standard of driving in Belium is not as good as one might expect, since a driver's licence test was not introduced before 1977. :-)

Yup, luckily. I found a shop which spot-welded the chip and resprayed the entire wheel for R450, about 45 Euros.

They left a tiny bit of paint grit next to the valve hole (one wouldn't notice if you don't look really closely), but I wasn't in the mood to fight or leave my wheel there again for a day.

Overall, pretty much as new!
