That is the most amazing part. If this was 1995 or even 2005 the American equivalent would be so far off as to not even be funny. Not anymore.

True.. HOWEVER...

Keep in mind the CTS-V just came out.. and we are months away from the Next Gen E-Class (E63s), and within a yr of the A6(RS6) and 5-Series(M5) .. the CTS was just launched last year in 2014.. If it holds true with the GM product cycle the next CTS won't arrive until 2021.

Caddy will still be playing catch up will always be. Kind of a bad production cycle for GM when you think about it. I am certain the
E63s is going to eat this for dinner, luckily we will only have to wait a few more months for details.

To me "always playing catch up" means you are never ahead. Speculation about future cars, their performance, their price and when they will hit the dealers shouldn't be needed if you are always in the lead.

I'm not so sure about that. Even the previous generation CTS-V is a monster, at 556hp, active dampers and praised for it's handling. The next M5 will most likely be decent, but it's going to take a hell of a lot of money and engineering to best the newest CTS-V in terms of outright performance. Just because their production cycle is a few years later doesn't guarantee it's going to be better. I think you'd have to be looking more at 5-10 years at least.
