My buddy has a Knights .50 caliber muzzle loader that I have shot a few times. The recoil is similar to a 1 oz shotgun slug and it's only uncomfortable if you shoot it a bunch of times in a row.

Muzzleloader are a different kind of recoil. More of a smooth thrust, smokless big bore have a more instantaneous abrupt jolt.

Anyone know where to get a Leader Arms AR-12 or similar? I would rather find one locally instead of deal with shipping to FFL PITA.

Shot my SA loaded today after not having done so in about 6 months. Feels like a pile of crap compared to my SA Pro. World of difference in fit and finish. Have about 4k on the loaded and 2k on the Pro.

I used to have one but sold it and I regret it every day. It's on my short list to pick up another one but they're hard to find right now because everyone wants one.

Do you need a specific gen, cant you just go buy a gen 5 not like they are limiting production.

I'd prefer a Gen 3 or 4 but don't have issues with the 5. Maybe its just where I am but nobody seems to have them in stock. One store said they would let me know when they got one but Glock is sending them to higher-volume places first as a priority.

I'd shot it only twice until now and were never a friend of 17/19, but the 34 is meeting my requirements nearly fully, aside of my 229. Will try to get one.

Just treated myself to this beast.. CZ Scorpion EVO3 S1, already submitted my Form 1 to SBR it and have a 9mm can in jail currently.

Order the HBI spring and bunch of parts to tide me over until my SBR paperwork comes back.

I've got one, it was my favorite for many years. I did two or three classes with it.

Its about as reliable as a hammer, it is currently my bedside gun (with a laser/light, in a quick gunvault).

I did an aftermarket trigger in it, other then that it is stock.

After shooting it and then any of my other guns I realized, I don't really enjoy shooting my glocks. They are great tools, but I don't like the grip angle, I don't like the way the frame vibrates with every shot, and the trigger is ok at best.

I've gone to the 1911, I am very happy there, but if I was looking for something in a similar 'class' to the Glock, I would go CZ SP01, P01, or TS, all day every day.

Currently only own 1 firearm:

Ruger LCRx (3'' barrel) .38 special +P with a custom kydex sheath.

Keep it in my trunk, loaded with Hornady hollow points. Always.

Also keep a custom made cleaver from Twisted J Iron Works in my door cubby for easy access. Also wrapped in custom kydex.

Less than two days later and I've already mod'd the hell out of this..

HB trigger springs, paddle mag release, charging handle and Paske grip. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the Luepold Delta Point Pro on an American Defense low QD mount.

Now to find a CZ folding stock that's available and to wait on my SBR and 9mm can stamps to come in. It's going to be a long 9 months!

So I'm curious....how the heck do you make that shorter? I don't see any significant barrel right now, how compact can you make it if you get this SBR stamp you are referring to?

Right now it's technically a pistol since it doesn't have a stock on it. With SBR stamp he'll be able to keep the barrel length he already has and affix a stock to it making it much easier to shoot.

If he wanted to put a stock on without SBR stamp he'd also have to put a barrel on that was at least 16" long.
