What I hate is the Neighborhood Gaulkers. I live in a nice community with 500+K homes (not bragging, just painting a picture), but there are only a handful of us with what I would consider nicer cars. Whenever one of us drive by the rest of the neighbors we just get those evil Jealous stares. Why hate on me? you have just as an expensive house as I do. The thing that gets me is because its a BMW people AUTOMATICALLY think im a rich snob when in reality, I paid 32K for my 335i while the people looking at me with disgust are driving 60-70K Suburbans... ugh. I just want to enjoy the fruits of my labor in peace without people thinking im stuck up. I put my shoes on one at a time just like everyone else.

Same here.. Live in a newer community and this morning I am going down the street and the person continues to back out of gsrage into the street.. Had to wait for him to back out and almost hit him.. Then on highway a pickup truck kept acting like a jerk.. Luckily I just ignore all the horrible drivers.. Have to be so defensive driving today!!

I've noticed this a lot just being NC as a whole. I barely ever got stares in Michigan, but once I came down here, it's like EVERYBODY stares. Whether it be the bike or the car, all their eyes stare into my soul. People give me nasty looks when I'm in the BMW, and it's only a 128i, it's not even anything nice.

God forbid there's an accident or your car breaks down, then everyone will slow down to stare. I got a rear flat on my bike one morning, and out of the 80 cars that passed by, all of them just stared, half slowed down to stare. Astounding.

People need to put others down to make themselves look good/feel better because they can't do it on their own merit. It happens all the time not just with car people but in business,etc too. It can get annoying but you just have to feel bad for those people

I agree, it definite depend which city/neibourhood you live in. In Toronto, one out of every three car is a BMW, Mercedes, etc... Only Bentley may get a second look.

This is my first BMW. I drove mostly Nissan's before. I bought the car purely for the comfort and the twin turbo mechanical goodness.
What really surprised me is how many people i know told me they wanted a BMW. I had no idea that a BMW was such a status symbol and people just want to own one to say they own one.

I definitely knew that with clothes and other things and even cars S class 7 series. I was just blissfully unaware that having any recent BMW was a status symbol

Same here, but I've come to my conclusion (some time ago) that (some) people are monumentally stupid and can not be fixed.

Focus on the good and positive and be nice to others when they demonstrate an equal capacity to be positive and nice.

That is what i don't get. They drive those dinneli, dully, cummings which cost more than some 3xxis.
