Fu!k the Super Bowl. BMW should start advertising in MLS and sponsor some big-name world football teams. You know real football!

No it's not. It all depends on the matchup.

Viewership for the league as a whole was down this season (a) due to the election, (b) due to the retirements of many good players, (c) most primetime games being blowouts, and (d) anthem protests. None of this will have any bearing on the SB especially if it's a Pats vs. Packers matchup.

Hah I hope this is trolling. Nobody in America likes watching a bunch of floppers play footsie for 90 minutes, only to end in a 1-1 draw.

also having to payout out over $800 million dollars to settle bribery charges will put a dent in the super bowl budget

I agree with your post. I think there is another factor. Since some of the games are on ESPN only, and that doubles the cost of TV for me, I opted out and only get the local channels and major networks. Speed TV went down along with the F1 broadcasts, and it was no longer worth it to me. ESPN was collateral damage, and so too the NFL. I was becoming a couch potato so got up and started doing things to be active. I would surf the channels and there was nothing interesting to watch. Win Win.

My God, $100+ per month for TV: That's a good chunk of a nice Lease on a BMW. No Comparison.

You know BMW doesn't own the holdings company, right? They're talking specifically about the aerospace engineering company. Last I recall, VW held ownership of it in some regard.

When BMW purchased Rolls Royce auto the aircraft division became a separate company. The Brits weren't keen on a German company owning their aircraft manufacturer given the events of WW2.

Keep telling yourself that. Premier League viewership is way down too, but I guess that's also because Peyton Manning retired.

Fantasy football is the only thing keeping the NFL afloat...for now.

The vast, vast majority of posters in this thread clearly have little to no understanding of the following topics:

- Marketing
- Hype-building
- Targeted advertising
- ROI
- Branding momentum

... and last but not least ...
- Football (I'll leave y'all to guess which kind. Hint: look at my avatar.)

That is all.

Its amazing how "credible (In their own words)" news organisations do not bother to do any research these days. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a separate entity from Rolls-Royce PLC which has nothing to do with BMW AG as it is a separate business. But in reporting they show images of our cars.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars/BMW have had to and now issued a statement to correct reports which is probably another nail in the coffin for CNN etc...

That article explicitly says the company is separate from bmw. A nail in the coffin for cnn? Even if they made a mistake and corrected it You would be wrong yet again.

It's become comical how so many of the things you post here are wrong. You have made a good habit of being just plain wrong.

It's as if you have a political bend to everything you say but without the brainpower or charisma to pull it off

As for the super bowl, agree with other posters that there is nothing to really talk about at that scale. Maybee next year an ad about the new x7 built in the USA would be a good idea. Or a generalized ad talking about the x7 x5 and x3. I remember a first gen x5 draped in the American flag outside the Spartanburg facility. That would be something on tv. There's an idea you can steal scott

That X5 you mention was a tribute to all of those that lost their lives on 9/11.
