DriveTrain warning issue
Hello guys,
I have an F20 116i 2014 I got this warning like 3 distinct times over the past month when I drove the car a bit hard. This is annoying - my car is just 3 years old and this pops up. There was actually no loss of power, just that the sports-mode cut off when this warning appears. It disappears when I turn the ignition off. A few minutes ago before posting this I drove the car hard again and the issue did not appear. Any idea? Maybe a sensor is going crazy? |

Surely some value out of tolerance, but the error message is extremely vague. It doesn't even pinpoint if the issue is with the engine or the gearbox, or maybe something else. I would recommend connecting some diagnostic tool to the car to read out error messages, to see if there is a more specific hint.

if it only gives "Drivetrain" warning but the car allows you to drive without entering the protection mode, it is likely to be the auxiliary water pump.
when it is faulty, it causes the sensors to go crazy as you stated. if you are able to access the hidden menu, you can observe that your water temp becomes unstable (jumping 20 degrees and goes down etc) if that's the case the part number is 11518616992. you should also refill the antifreeze and coolant too after changing the water pump. it is a common problem on n13 engines. other possibility is that there might be a leak on your turbo hose. good luck |

Hi! Thanks for your replies. Actually you might have hit it...I had the FastBits DV+ blowoff valve which was having a metal noise (clicking sound) and i removed it and put back the stock. A week after that is when this warning started to occur.
I had this before: http://www.gfb.com.au/products/blow-...-abarth-detail |

120308 charging pressure control, plausibility Pressure too low The mechanic says its this part: 11657599547 PRESSURE CONVERTER Usd 200 for repair including part. I didn't go for it yet. What do you guys think? |

M135i drive train malfunction.
Hi guys I've recently purchased a 2014 m135i, everything runs perfectly on the car when driving sensible, it was advertised as 420bhp with pops and bangs and has 35000 miles. When I put my foot down the car comes up with drive train malfunction. When this message comes up occasionally it will start misfiring but not all the time. I plugged in my scanner and these codes appear, 102001,11a002, 123511.
I have done some research and alit of people have similar issues and they change parts with no results, could this be a bad/cheap remap or has anyone had similar issues |

I've had my 2012 116i since July, Since then I have had this drivetrain error come up 3 times. Every time I have had it, I have just pulled over and restarted the car and it has gone away and not come up again. It seems odd, but it isn't something I have worried about too much as it isn't consistent, and 2/3 times it has been raining, could the rain maybe have an effect on a sensor? and mostly everything else about the car seems fine; everything except the oil consumption seems ridiculous!
