Additional inspection?

I just learned that my M135i has been sitting at the dealer's lot for 270 days, anything to worry about? tires check maybe? I've seen them move the car around over the past several months (it has 14KM on it).

Hi, it is not ideal scenario, but most important is the present status, especially engine is running and idling fine? Smooth? Without misfires? Pulls are smooth too? I would not worry about anything other, only real "risk" is water condensation in fuel tank. If car drives fine, just enjoy it, in any case, it still should by under waranty.

Thanks for the feedback, i will monitor things closely. Ran really smooth when I started it, I was supposed to pick it up today but the paper work wasn't finished

You know, I'd be really suspicious of this. M135's have been selling strongly in most markets. Why has this one been sitting around? Exactly what is its history?

It just doesn't seem right to me....and makes me wonder what happens to the cars that are rejected after a brief period of ownership, using the "lemon" laws

That's a valid point, I know the car's history as I've been eyeing it since June of last year... There is only one BMW dealer in Saudi Arabia so he does a very good job of monopolizing the Market, it was listed at 231,000 SAR ($62,000) which was/is an outrageous price.

People here love land Cruisers, 4x4s, and large cars, small cars like the 1 series don't move very well.

The release of the 2- series forced a huge price drop so I jumped on it.

Aha...that explains things. Remember the same factors will come into plat when you sell, too. My father has a simple maxim that you make your money (or minimize your losses) by buying well, which turns out to be true most often

Your dad is spot on ... A friend of mine told me, you can forget about selling this car when the time comes, I will be keeping this baby for a long long time... Although, priced as 5-7 year old car would attract plenty of young guys.
