335i drivetrain more clunky than 323i? (CDN)
Hi all,
my wife recently purchased a 07 323i 6MT. Drove it for a few days, it is so good that I purchased a 335i myself . Just picked up my 335i yesterday also in 6MT. I do have a question, the 335I drivetrain feels far more clunky, I acclereate to 2500rpm in first then clutch out, if I'm not smooth you hear a clunk/shock. Is that normal? It is far less noticable in her car. I'm not sure if my engine mounts are worn or thats just the way it is? since my car is a bit higher mileage than hers, 90000 vs 60000 The shifter on 335I is also a bit notchier than her's. I'm not sure if anyone know but do they use the same manual tranny? I recall playing with a 135i at the dealership showroom, and it has the same clunky-ness my 335i has. |
