Bmw F20 Help required please!

Hi all, I just bought a late 2012 F20, 118d Sport line, I have the full M sport bumpers, ducts, grills and skirts and I wanted to bolt it straight on, however somebody told me that reinforcement bars at the front are different between the sport/se and m sport? is this true?

If anyone has converted their SE/Sport to an M sport your help will be much appreciated!

Yes it is!

I feel lazy to search (you can try it yourself) but someone complained here (three years ago or so) of inability to "simply" retrofit an M-Sport bumper. (There was a colour mismatch, by the way, I wasn't registered here then to ask, but it made me wonder where he had got it from. I hope you did not undress someone else's car at night or buy from those who obviously did.)

There's a complete set of parts to retrofit the M-Sport exterior available. The part number is 51952296629. You can check the contents, say, here, but I would suggest you query a dealer for the items you have missing. (Also double-check you're after the M-Sport set, not M-Performance one which is still different.)

LOL I wouldn't dream of such things, I believe in karma!

I bought it all from a breaker on ebay for £400, but every other breaker I go to are telling me the front panel including both up and lower reinforcement bars are the same on SE/Sport and M sport whereas the worker at the body shop told me they are different....

I cant find anywhere on the internet that shows they are different that's the problem...

Yep these look pretty much exactly the same as what I have on my sport! I cant tell the difference between an M sport set up... are there any pics or diagrams online to check?

The fact that they have different part numbers, is a fairly strong indication that they are indeed different....
