Lease Hand-In Damage

Do you guys know if scrapes underneath the bumper are okay?

There's some paint missing there ...

And also a tiny little dot of missing paint on my rear bumper.

I would assume that's under normal use wear and tear. No?

Unless it is different for M cars, I doubt it will be a problem. Anything under 2" is acceptable. I doubt they will even look under the bumpers.

If you are under mileage you can ask BMWFS for a damage credit. (Assuming you get charged)

your just fine. Handed in my wife's E92 back in the day and she did a number to the wheels, bumpers, side skirts, etc... Fully expecting to pay something in damages they just looked at the car, drove it then we were good.

MAKE SURE your dealer fills out the form - and you sign - that your car passed their visual wear inspection and you won't be subject to charges. If not it's done at auction and you can get burnt bc they don't give a damn at that point that you bought a new car.

You should be fine, i returned a F30 with bumper scratches, multiple door dings and a bmw wheel emblem missing. I think chips and minor scratches are considered wear and tear. They will probably repaint the front and rear bumpers anyway. Just be sure to return the car as dirty as possible and at night time

Also, i only returned one key. The guys that take the returns have a lot of leeway. Most of the time they don't care.

Is it normal for them not to really care about tires?

I'm buying a F80 M3 from the dealer and he said that as long as there's some tread he will mark it down as fine.

He also said to mount the tires inside out if the outside is worn and the inside isn't as bad...
