Yup - Lapped that bad-ass 'Ring in 2010 for my b-day.
Saw a ton of P-cars and bimmers and VW Golf's, no Sabine present, BMW Ring Taxi at work, a Gumpert Apollo, and some Renault or similar hot hatch stuff it into a wall and close the track completely as fluid was covering the width of the track. Would run it again in a rental race car next time |

Ring
I've been numerous times. Was stationed in Baumholder about 1:45 away. Did some lap days as well as WEC and ADAC GT Masters races [spectating]

I drove the 'Ring for a couple of days in my E46 M3 back in '06 when I was stationed in England. Actually did a four day cannonball run style event through England, France, Belgium and Germany with the finish line ending not far from the track. All the M's drove as a pack through each country and us owners all stayed together at each hotel. Hung out with Sabnie for a bit. Really great experience. We couldn't count how many speed cameras nabbed us. Thankfully the tickets don't make their was back across the channel.
Cars were so sick. Everything you can image. I made a video, I should find a way to post that thing.

Went two summers ago and took my buddy's new M4 out. Really fun but an absolute shit show. With probably 100~ track days under my belt, I was a ball of nerves with what a free-for-all it was. One lap was enough for me.

My wife gifted me the infamous track for my 40th and the stars aligned for the entire GP course. Entrance to the start point was a pain but the driving experience made me fall in love. We will be back soon.
Vulkan is a short drive from the track but highly recommended as a watering hole to cool off and tell stories with fellow enthusiasts. http://vulkan-brauerei.de

If you go to the ring and you do not eat here, then you're blowing it.

I will be over next year and am waffling on wether to do it or not. I would do it in a heart beat except for dealing with the ID10Ts that are bound to be out there in the evening public hours.
