Well, I don't see a reason why I have to be the one to prove anything at this point whilst I'm still waiting for the graphs on a consistent 200 HP by ACS... Like you say... It's a theory I also have a theory on a small intercooler, but I'll leave that for another topic.
In your Avatar it says you have 116i ACS. Would be nice to see that graph.

The readings on your graph are interesting, but it's not clear to me - are those WHP or just HP on the crank?

2" exhaust from cat-back is an effective way to detune the car. This can be seen even on the standard engine dyno graph.
Secondly, Chiptronic is one of those companies which produces the modules for many other tuners for many years now....Other tuners buy the modules with programmes from Chiptronic and just rebrand them
Doubt it whether they would do a "non-such-effective" tune especially that the piggy-back tuning method is based on boosting the standard signal instead of a totaly new timing, ignition and fuel map.
I have 116i with Hartge engine conversion with 171hp and 265Nm. I didnt repkace anything on exhaust system. The car is unrecognizable. It runs so much better and faster. If the onky way to do a detuning us by making smaller exhaust then getting a supersprint miltek or remus exhaust would make our cars even faster and more powerfull without chip tunning. Mapping of 116i is different then in 118i.

I don't know if this has already been written, but I'm shocked about performance of 116i with AC Schnitzer chip.. from 80-180kmh it's faster than stock 120d (also 118i) and only 2 seconds slower than stock 125d.. and 125d is 10.000€ more expensive (at least in Slovenia)..
I can't decide should I go for the chip or this exhaust..

Hehe.. I suppose you're Nino also from bmwslo forum?

If you want to know.. I got offer 1950€+100€ for schnitzer (inštalacija AC Cosmos/Avto Aktiv)
I didn't receive reply from Supersprint.. But the same person who offered me schnitzer also offered Remus (official site).. Remus would cost 660€ with installation (Cosmos/Aktiv).. It's half the price for Supersprint and I can't complain about sound

I'm problably going for exhaust because this one is much cheaper.. but on the other hand what is sound without power?

2 years since date of first registration or 100.000km.. Whatever comes first.. You can buy third year for 400€..

But I'm not worried about warranty.. Schnitzer is known and I think I shouldn't worry about problems

(100kw basic) +50KW and (220Nm) +70Nm
gain only -0.4s 0-100km/h and top speed is same (210km/h) ?
have the right information???

because 118i (basic) have 125KW and 250Nm and has much better acceleration (7.4s)
after tuning have 116i +25KW more than 118i(basic) , but acceleration is higher +0.7s
What are the reasons for this??? :/

true.. Chips/power kits are not ment for 0-100.. They are good for highway acceleration.. If you compare 80-180 to other BMWs you can find out that moddified 116i is winner in many times
116i 80-180kph 17.3
320i (184 hp) 19.8
328i (245 hp) 15.8
120d (184 hp) 22.3
125d (218 hp) 15.1

It is rather useless to compare cars within a certain gear, as the gearing is very different between cars. And if you wanted to go quickly from 80-180, you would certainly shift up at least once.

There is one & simple reason for this. The factory DME is set to prevent performance upgrades using "anti-tuning" software. More in specific ,the DME has kind of a torque limiter where when its triggered the car gets into limp/safe mode.
Due to the above , the tuners are obliged to play with these limits and offer a tune that maximizes the performance but do not exceeds the factory software limitations.

The ACS tunning box ,as well as every other current technology tunning option, applies limited/partial boost on the first 3-4 gears so to avoid triggering the factory's counter tuning software.

Its no luck that ALL tuning solutions provide the same HP output and similar 0-100/0-60 times. The ACS seems to have an extra connection to DME thru Canbus . This is why I think this one manages to get better results. Then again i can only guess until i try it.
