M Sport Bumper - On Standard F20
Hi all,
Got a new F20 116d Sport ordered ready to collect on 1st September, I couldnt stretch to the M Sport and plus the car I took was already built and went with it because I needed a replacement car asap.. My question is can you retro fit the M Sport Front / Nose Bumper on a Sports Model ? I do think the M Sport nose looks that wee bit better than the normal line. |

Yes it can be retro-fitted, just look up parts on realoem.com or get the dealer to quote you for the m bumper skin and fixings, I did this on a previous E87. From memory I needed an adapter for the under tray and a couple of air ducts. It took me a couple of hours to change over. There's also a few F20 m sport bumper skins appearing on eBay.

Does this mean both the Front & Rear M Sport bumpers will fit on my any F20? Will I be required to buy the M Sport specific air ducts to go with the bumpers?
Also considering the M Sport bumpers. Last edited by Latito; 08-13-2012 at 01:33 AM.. |

I imagine it to be fairly expensive- especially depending on the colour of your car

The front bumper alone is £308 + vat, without all the fittings and brake ducts etc. We tend to start with SE or Sport spec cars when we do conversions as it works out cheaper in the long run

Hi, thanks for the replies.
Could I ask what the brake ducts are? I'm looking to do the job myself, its only the front bumper which I want so I can source these for a decent price. How difficult would this be to fit? I will have to put the original sport bumper back on at the end of the lease term. Cheers, James |

These black bits. They are taller on the M Sport bumper. You won't be able to do the swap with just the bumper and nothing else.

Cheers. Also assuming I will need the lower grille mesh too which I'll probably have to source from bmw.
On another note, those wheels are smart! Is that a whole new front bumper on the car pictured below? If its just the lower spoiler, how much? James |

For anyone that wants M Sport front and back bumpers. Check ebay. It seems lots of people are killing their F20s in the current weather so they are not hard to find. They cost about £150 each, a good paint job will cost about another £150 if you can't find any in the colour you need and they are an absolute piece of piss to fit yourself.
I like the Schnitzer stuff for the sport. Makes a huge difference and is no doubt very high quality like all their stuff.
