Insurance quotes

I have px'ed my 2011 Audi S3 for a BMW 125D both valued at £22500. I am looking for insurance and cannot believe the price I'm being quoted. I am 50 yrs of age with 20 plus years NCB and no points. I did have one vandalism claim in August 2014 for approx £600 that did not affect my NCB. I am being quoted in the region of £400! I think that is scandalous.

Where are you all getting your insurances from for these cars and what do you pay?

Cheers and waiting in hope

Take the BMW badge off

I won't get into insurance... mine went up 60% when I moved to a different postcode just a few miles...

How the hell can I be quoted over £400 at 50 yrs of age with only ever one malicious claim in 2014? Over 25 years of claim free driving apart from that one claim.

How much did the 2014 claim cost your insurer?

It's astronomical for my age I agree. The malicious vandalism was just the rear window put through on my Volvo C30 at a cost to the insurer of £650.

As well as age, car details, & no claims history - your Postcode & occupation may impact the Premium.

Try quizzing the Broker about that - esp Postcode .....

Have you tried the 'Compare' sites for multiple quotes at the same time ?

I haven't yet but I certainly will. I really can't believe the difference between this car and my Audi S3. Considering they both cost the same, £22,500 and the S3 being more desirable for the local idiots to try to steal.
