Compared to germany somewhat cheaper (2700€) and it comes with alot of more default options (worth 2770€ in germany). On the othber hand you get the ones which were built by drunk people, putting the wheel on the wrong side .

The 135i is not in the Norwegian configurator yet. Our taxes makes the powerful versions rather expensive. Here is the price list in euros for F20 with no extra options:
114i: 33 368
116d: 38 035
116i: 39 655
...
125d: 60 000
125i: 61 393

Wow, that's a huge increase. Carbon taxes I presume? Makes the M135i look cheap in the UK.

The taxes are based on weight, power and emissions. It is mostly the power tax that causes the increase here.

Ouch; I thought we paid high prices in Australia with GST, import duties, luxury tax, emmisions levy.

I now see we are not alone in that

Thats why prices of countries whit taxes like that can't be seen as relevant for comparison . In germany we don't have that, Its just car-price + VAT, which makes it a good number for comparison to other countries, where its handled the same way.
