Hi everyone,

My car got hit recently and the left rear tires was cut, no pressure loss so far. It is goodyear efficientgrip 205/50-R17 runflat tire. I have decided to replace it but I could not find any at local stores. However, there is goodyear eagle nct5 205/50-R17 runflat. Is it ok if I use these tires for rear axel only? the front tires still have lots of tread so I want to save some money.

I think it is allowed, but not exactly recommended. It will affect the balance of the car, but not necessarily for the worse. If you don't like how it performs, you could also consider swapping front/rear. Thumbs up from me.

Should be ok as long as you don't mix runflats and non-runflats.

Thank you! I had replaced the tires, although they are mismatch but I hardly tell the different when driving except a bit more noisy.
