Question ► Racing Jack

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3000-...motiveQ5fTools

Going to purchase one and this is the first time I'm actually getting one. So basically I don't know what to look for exactly in a "racing jack". You guys have any good suggestions? 3 tons, 4 tons?

In this picture: looks like the ebay version. (cheap + flimsy) compared to a REAL one!

Sorry bud. The jacks that racing teams use are upwards of $500, for a cheap one.

If you want to do it right, get a Brunnhoelzl. I dont own one but have used them before. Amazing! If not, just get the best one Harbon Freight has to offer and hope it holds up

You shouldn't be getting under a car without jack stands, no matter how expensive the jack is.

I've had a craftsman jack back in NY for a while. Its ok. Does its job. It does leak a little bit of fluid, but nothing major. The car will maybe drop a quarter inch. I wouldn't leave it up there for any prolonged period of time nor would I get under it without jack stands.

As much as I'd love one of those nifty $500 jacks, I'll take any cheap jack, throw some stands under the car and be happy.

No complaints here. It is low enough to squeeze under my slammed ride.
