Things we learned about the M135i while drifting on the skid pad
So my friend and I got a bit bored while drifting our cars at our local skid pad recently. Here is what we discovered about the M135i
While drifting it WAS possible to
However, and on a more serious note, while mid-drift, it was NOT possible to
If you press any of the driving mode buttons, the car will not change mode until the drift has "sort of" ended. Ie, if you select eco pro while drifting, it will not change into that mode until the drift has ended. DSC won't switch on instantly. One can only speculate that they made it this way so nobody can kill the "fun" by (accidentally) hitting one of the drive mode buttons while drifting. In my older Z4 the drift ends immediately as DSC turns ON if someone presses the DSC button while the car is sideways. I think it is interesting how they changed the software on the M135i.
