I guess it depends on how the car is programmed. In some markets the center button unlocks the trunk as well.

Very interesting. I use this button pretty much every time I drive, so would definitely miss it.

Here in Norway, I have switched off the auto locking feature, so there is no need for the button. When I'm in the car, the trunk is open. I can see why that would not be such a good idea in Cape Town.

I'm just going to quickly chime in about the rear view camera.

I purchased an ex-demonstrator that already came optioned with it, so it wasn't a conscious decision to take it.

But now that I have it, I find it extremely useful, especially when you're in a shopping centre car park. You can easily see if there's anyone standing behind your car or for the inconspicuous shopping cart.

And I maintain that bi-xenons should just come standard on all models.

How fast are the adaptive headlights in terms of switching from side to side when you drive fast in tights curves?

I'm 99% finished with my configuration now.
Just wondering if I should get the following options:

Speed limit information
Adaptive headlights
Anti theft alarm
Comfort access
Apps
Grey field in upper part of windwhield.

I can only afford 1 or 2 of these options.

When driving, the lights are quick enough to keep up, but if you line the car up with a wall and make small and quick steering corrections, they are lagging slightly behind the steering.

I actually got an error message from the lights on one of my autoX runs! :-)

Speed limit information
I got this, I use it a lot on my current Nav as in the Netherlands they like to change the speed limit every 200 metres. Figured it might pay for itself in missed fines.

Apps
I figure you can always get that later when something really useful pops up.

I have this on my E46, and had it on a test-F20. In my mind it's mostly about looks, I find myself still using the visor all the time.

speed limit info

How do you operate the speed limit information system?
Can you switch off these symbols in the display?

Found out that I don't need Apps and Comfort Access.
Still wondering about the Speed Limit information and Alarm system

Found out that you can not combine Grey field in the windshield and speed limit information.

That's true. I was going to have the grey field, but when I had to choose I ended up with the speed limit info. Nice to have here in Norway where the limits change all the time.
