Mud flaps remind me of childhood days in the backseat of dads Morris 1800"S" MkII, driving on gravel roads where mud flaps really was a necessity. Didn't look good then, and doesn't look god today.....
I would have stayed away, keep the clean look

BMW only list mudflaps for non msport models (I believe) so would be interested if you can get any to fit the msport f20. On the previous 1 series hatch, again none were listed for msport models although the front mudflaps for non msport models did fit, the rears did not. If you decide to fit them will be interested in an update.

Thanks

Always amazes me on car forums how people detest them. The OEM flaps are fairly discrete and do a good job of protecting the paintwork. If chipping doesn't bother you then don't fit them Wouldn't be without them on the Z4.

Thank god for that, ibeech be ashamed, how old are you? You would seriously ruin some of the lovely lines of your bimmer by sticking those things on it?

The m-sport looks ace from behind, with flaps on it will take away from the look. Save the money and fit a double exhaust tips instead!!

Sure I get the argument about keeping the crud off it etc. etc. but cleaning it all up is part of the pleasure of ownership. Everybody different, I respect that but just think about your bimmer, would she choose them?

Hahahahah!

I'm 26 fella. I'm not nervous about the dirt; I love cleaning my car- I'll take 2 full days doing it at a time- what I'm worried about is stones and chips flicking onto the paint-

But I hear you on losing the lines.

Stones and chips will happen with or without mudflaps around Stoke!!

You know the bloody council round here just love dressing all the good roads with green gravel and leave the crap ones to disintegrate into boulders!! Fitting mud flaps around here is a bit like trying to fire a pea shooter at a tank!!

2 full days!! You into your detailing then? I draw the line at 1 day?

not yet- waiting for a good day- today seems like one. but i bet tomorrow will be shocking...

and the A34 is an abomination at the moment- yet i've had to drive over it quite a bit, at 20mph - which is what lead to this post.

I thought about getting them but eventually I went for keeping the clean look. So I did not add mud flaps.

I just installed mud flaps up front on an F20 116i M-Sport. They fit just fine, despite the comments about only non-M-Sport in the ETK. I didn't buy the rear ones.

In Norway, there is a lot of salt and gravel on the roads in the winter. The mud flaps are supposed to protect the paint and keep the car cleaner.

I can understand this argument, allthough I believe stone chips in the front is a bigger and more visible problem.....
When you watch second hand cars with mud flaps, take a closer look at the rust around the fixing points. No joy to find there

I haven't got any pictures of them yet. The mud flaps are fixed by plastic clips that are there on all cars. The flaps are also ventilated with draining holes, so I doubt that they will be a rust trap.

I am running studless tires, and they throw up quite a lot of debris along the side of the car. Stone chips on the front of the car are not so easily avoidable.

Nice to hear that fits on the M's also. Would like to see some pics also.

Alot of cow dump over here, and the car is white.
