I wanted "STR8SIX" but it was taken, oddly enough, not on a BMW.

As long as your plate isn't stuck up or arrogant then you should be fine. "M-OVR" is kind of rude imo, I would probably want to cut you off and do 20mph less then the speed limit if I saw that.

I never get custom plates, the way I figure it, it's just one more thing that can contribute to my car getting keyed or not being able to talk my way out of that speeding ticket. I like to maintain a lowish profile, key or ticket the guy next to me, not me!

On my first 330 my vanity plate was my last name. That was stupid. Real stupid. At least now I have something cool to hang on my wall. Vanity plates are good if you have something funny to say (in 7 letters or less).

Exactly, cuz "MOV OVR" makes no sense.
If the car is behind you reading your license plate, they wouldn't be in your way and wouldn't need to move over.

Having it backwards like that makes more sense, because then it would be read by the slow driver in front of you as he looks in his rear view mirror.

But then, they'd probably just slow down to piss you off.

But if by some reason they did sneak that one past, and I saw it in a parking lot, I'd stick a note on the back of that guys car next to the license plate that said:

Real plate ?? Probably not, since you can only have one symbol (AFAIK).

Ummm, because I like fast cars and driving fast? I don't quite see how not wanting personalized plates predisposes someone to wanting to drive a civic? I don't have anything against personalized plates but I prefer to maintain a low profile while enjoying the performance of my car.

His point, I believe, was that just being a BMW is often enough to cause the vandals to target your car.
