Guys, also remember, these are what homes are LISTED at. The more expensive a home is, the more it sways in MILLIONS in negotiations. I've kept an eye on some expensive homes here in the Houston area, from 4-10 million list prices. The 10 million dollar home sold for 8 million.

I think only 1 or 2 homes have SOLD for over 100 million.

Well, true... I mean, if it's 75 million, then it'll probably sway like a couple million down or up. Guys, you could get it for 73 million! What a steal!

No way. If its listed at 75 million, it could easily go 10-15 million down. Very, very few buyers in this price range.

Ah, ok. so.... like 65 million. I should get in on it... 75 was way out of my price range... but 65 or 60... now we're talking!

this just reminded me of a house that is being built not too far from the 75 million dollar house.

asking price is at 50 million. the company that is building it is owned by the same guy that is listing the 75 million dollar one.

Houses like this can sit on the market for years and end up going for a fraction of their original asking price.
