Received Winter wheel marketing promo from BMW with a link to the configurator:

http://www.bmw.co.uk/en_GB/topics/ow...re-config.html

And interestingly enough there looks to be a new set for the M135i!, 18" Radial-spoke 388 ferric grey bright-polished

18" Radial-spoke 388 ferricgrey bright-polished WKRS

Rear 7 1/2Jx18 225/40R18 92V i

Look pretty good.

Nice, but £1800 !!!!!

Tyres can be had for around £100 - £130 a corner, so thats £1300 for alloys for use in winter: sliding into kerbs, grit/road salt, nasty grime and dirt and generally bad conditions for alloys.

I've been running winters for a number of years.... tend to always hunt out a set of used, genuine alloys.

I agree, similar to the two tone colouring of the M Performance 19"

Have ordered my Radial 388 set with the Pirelli Sottozero runflats. 18" rims all round. My dealer is selling them for about £1,600. Would prefer Michelin Alpins but they're not available in the deal.

Do you know if they are the polished variety as per the pics or the original ones all the same colour?

I'll find out tomorrow, but my guess is they're of the polished variety given the dealer offer.

Yup. I think it was one of their last sets in the country. Reckon the deal was tied to Pirelli's supply of the Series II boots. They've brought out a Series III this year so probably clearing out old stock. Quite impressed with the 50GBP wheel storage fee though. Surprisingly cheap.

Edit: Cheaper still for the first wheel swap as that's free of charge ; )
