I am thinking about getting a M140i and I still have some wheels from my old e82 135i.

I was thinking of using the michelins that come with the car, so specs would be

Front: 18x8.5 et35 with 225/40/18
Rear: 18x9.5 et50 with 245/35/18

My calcs say the wheels will poke 22.7mm front and 21.1mm rear compared to stock.
Too much on stock suspension?
Will it be ok as the tyres will be slightly stretched?

Front - 8.5 et35mm with 225/40/18 - combo may be OK - you'd need to check if there's enough clearance for M140i brake calipers - may need to add a spacer which will decrease et mm value ie down to ~30mm...may be tight but worth checking before putting MPSS tyres onto yr e82 rims

Rear - 9.5" et 50mm with 245/35/18 MPSS - may poke slightly and tyre sidewalls will be stretched - may impede traction and impair handling as a result.

Thanks, so I really need to test fit and see.
Pretty confident they will go over the brakes, they cleared my 355mm Stoptech ST60 kit on the 135i.
