are all these dealership installed? (I remember reading it somewhere). I'd rather have the German assembly install it for me.

So, the M Performance now is the M sport package?

Or later on we'll see a different kit from BMW Performance?

BMW Performance Parts going forward will be called M Performance Parts (since M is now involved in the development).

M Sports package still exists, independently of M Performance Parts.

But have I understood it correctly that the M-sports kit does not have lowered suspension (on the F30)? That it is an extra option?!

Except that you need the M Sport bumpers to fit the M Performance bumper pieces

The M Sport suspension is 10mm lower than standard suspension.
It is already available as a option on other F30.
Same for the Adaptive M suspension.

Is it just me or does anyone else find these wheels kinda ugly... The spokes are flat as a wall and have no concavity.

But it´s not included in the M-sports package, it´s an extra option (and thus cost), right?!

That depends on each country, but it usually is included in most countries.( M Sport Suspension option 704).
The Adaptive suspension will be optional.

Here 704 is included as standard on the M Sport

It has always been included in Sweden before, but in the Swedish F30 catalogue it does not list sport suspension in the M-sport package... Can only hope that it is an oversight or that they change it before it is launched!

If my translation skills are correct your catalog does show M Sport Suspension standard (M sportchassi)

Interesting! You are correct in your interpretation of the Swedish catalogue. I was looking in the printed version I got at the premiere, it says nothing about the sport suspension being included. But hooray, it looks as it is!

Now I will stop this small kidnapping of the thread... :P

No news on the prices? Really like the alcantara and carbon fibre interior!

*sigh* if these are dealership installed, what will happen to the old dash board, gear lever, steering wheel etc? Are we just going to keep them at home or will the price include BMW taking the older parts back. If the latter, what are they going to do with them? put them on back on assembly? lol

Also not a fan of the idea that my dealership is going to be replacing factory installed stuff like steering wheel.

1M Coupe too? Sweet! More info on what will be available for the 1M Coupe! The brake calipers would be cool!

I don't understand it either. Not only are they diluting the brand, it seems like they went ahead and ignored the M owners altogether. It is very sad in my opinion.

It's not bad. However, I would have preferred it if BMW had just called this "mid-M category" line-up the "S" line. This way people won't have expectations or be confused.

I'd rather have a CLEAR distinction like the M-line, S-line, and the standard series line.

Some of the items seem a bit "AC Schnitzer" overboard? I like the basic things and the trunk spoiler/front splitters, but the sides and some of the accessories look to be a bit much for my tastes.

Also, where's the LSD? I guess BMW expects us to line the roads with M Performance floor mats for better traction...

Very nice, I'm impressed with how they designed these parts.

I think there are bigger and better things waiting for the future F80/82 M owner...
