I had that pleasant surprise come in my mail too the other day. However, I'm not sure if there is a Perth session? The tracks seem to be in the eastern states?

There is a course in Perth this Saturday! It's on their website, still has some availability (I can't make it Saturday as working unfortunately). I'm going to contact the BMW driving experience office tomorrow to see if there are any further sessions in Perth coming up.

Edit: contacted them, there are courses in Perth this Saturday and Sunday. I've registered for Sunday's course

According to an article on Ausmotive, Australian 2 series pricing as below:

220i - $50,500
220d - $52,500
M235i - $79,900

Not an official release by BMW, but they go on to list a lot of standard features etc.

Article here: http://www.ausmotive.com/2013/11/14/...rom-79990.html

This reminded me that I had been sung up by BMW soon after purchasing my car, and advised I would be receiving a voucher for this. I hadn't received anything, so contact BMW, who told me to call the BMW Driver Training team on 1800 000 269, and quote my VIN/Rego number, and the team would check.

I've done this, have been given a voucher reference, and will receive the 2014 calendar, from which I can make a booking. Hope this helps others.

Thanks ttimbo - I must chase this up also.

Strange
It seems that the 125i bucked the trend
Funny, It is also has a long waiting list

Should consider paying extra $500 IIRC to upgrade to the M Driving course. A group of us/10+ from 1Addicts did that for a day at Philip Is and it was definitely better than the Intensive course.

Could you expand on what you mean please? Do you mean there's a long wait for brand new 125i's? I unfortunately have my 125i for sale, I'm forced to sell it due to spinal surgery that failed and now I have to have another operation. After 2 weeks I've only had one enquiry. Considering all the options it has I thought I would get more interest than that...

The order time on a 125i M Sport is now something like 8 weeks at factory plus delivery of 8 weeks to Aus, being mainly due to a shortage of some components.
I am told by my dealer that the base 125i is in demand
The downside with selling a near new is that it will not appeal to every new 125i buyer and its year age will click over in a few weeks time. I am not sure why you have not received more enquiries as it is well priced and fully optioned. It will be a great buy for someone I am sure. Good Luck

Cant say I know why no interest either. I've had heaps of people view the ad, over 180, but only one enquiry. You certainly couldn't spec this car new for anywhere near what I have it advertised at. Oh well, just sit and wait I guess...

Perhaps you should get a quote for freighting it to the East coast and suggest that cost in your add as that could be a factor for buyers on this side of the island not going further with an enquiry.

Thanks for the suggestion, I just might do that. I did have an enquiry yesterday so maybe that will go somewhere...
I've just had my car in for the brake assist/vacuum pump recall yesterday. They said mine was fine and didn't need repairing, but my brakes definitely feel tighter now. Not sure what else they did to the car but it feels a whole lot more lively than it used to, not that it wasn't peppy before. Weird, not that I'm complaining. Maybe they did a software update or something as well...

125i Melbourne

I got a quote for a brand new 125i . With the options the listed drive away price on their computer was 61k. The salesperson went down to 52k but said the manager may not approve it. Then I said I would seriously consider buying it if they can include sunroof as well to that price. I was leaving and he still wanted to talk to the manager. So he did and came back saying it is not possible. I thanked him and left hoping she might call me back.
What do you think a reasonable discount would be here? Did I go a bit overboard?

What options did you have on your list?

no. The question is: Can we assume that the discount from 61k to 52k (even though it looks huge) is not really impossible otherwise she wouldn't go and talk to the manager and should I wait and see if she calls me back in a few days?

They were probably discussing what plans they had for xmas If they were even remotely close to a sale they wouldn't have let you leave the showroom...
PS : Mines for sale

What if I call them in 2 days and say 'ok I can pay 53k'. Or did I already miss a good deal?

I think if the price point was 53K they wouldn't have let you walk out. Certainly no harm in ringing them back, just call them tomorrow, waiting a couple of days wont change things.
What was the deal that you missed??
