Inspired by Mach_M3 who is being so used by his GF by buying her expensive gifts when she's actually in love with her ex, and by Mike. who bought his ex a $100 starbucks mug she wanted when they just started dating because he was blinded by her hotness (ie. fake boobs), and by UncleWede who built his first wife baby furniture even though she got knocked up by another guy while in their first year of marriage:

When I was a teenager, I had an asshole boyfriend who really needed a car. So I loaned him $2000 to buy a shitty little car. Shortly after, I wanted to break up with him but knew I wouldn't get my money back. So I dragged it on a couple more months and then finally I had to ask his cousin to get his parents to give me the money he owed me. Funny enough, this asshole contacted me recently and asked me for coffee and I said nope!

What stupid stuff did you do for love?

Was forcefully in a relationship for 6 months because the girl refuse to part ways. I gave her the benefit of doubt thinking she would come around. She stalked me everyday waiting for me at home and work because she wanted to work on it. Ended up getting a restraining order on her LMAO.

Not sure it was for "love"......but....

In my younger/dumber years I rode my motorcycle 450 miles in the rain BOTH ways to see a girl I had just started dating.....spent 24 hrs with her and rode back....in a fucking monsoon.

The dye in the leather of my gloves ran when wet and I had black hands and pale white arms for weeks

Traded in an upside-down Toyota Cressida (fabulous car) for an Infiniti Q45 because my wife, with whom I had just reunited with after a contentious separation, wanted the Q.

Went $5,000 in the hole, and carried some of that with me for about 4 more car loans over the next 15 years. Then had to trade the Q in because it was too expensive to fix and went further in the hole.
