Remember 9-11 thread
I found out about 9-11 listening to Howard Stern on my way to work.
He is replaying his broadcast from that day, so it is like I am reliving the moment. VERY unsettling. Don't ever forget 9-11.

Oddly I was off that day, and I am never off during the week. I seen it on TV and was shocked. I will never forget leaving home, and on the roads, they seemed bare, and I'm not even in NYC, it was eery.

I was still in the Army. I was at Ft Hood TX, pediatric ward attending at DACH. A patient's parent called us all into the room to see the news. After the Pentagon was hit we were all "we're going to war". The post went into high alert that day.

I was in school it was my senior year and it happened durring the class change and everyone was talking about it in the halls, but no one knew what was really going on, people were saying that the empire state building had been hit. School kinda stopped for the day, and all we did in each class untill the end of the day was watch the news. 2001 still fells like yesterday, hard to believe it was 5 years ago!

ditto on it feeling sooner that 5 years ago. I was driving while it happened around 8a.m. CST. I got to my house in about 5 minutes and put on CNN. I actually saw the second plane crash LIVE. Then I knew it was on purpose. I went to college and was freaked out the whole day esp. when I was on campus and constantly looking up to make sure no more planes were coming. Pretty frightening cuz we didn't know the enemy at the time. some sad days. at my work, I found out one of our customer's brother was in the WTC. Found out a few days later that he was killed. Bad times.
