here are some prior threads on the subject. it seems cool if you need a credit card but the perks aren't incredible.

No idea about the BMW credit card - don't have one.

But I don't see why you couldn't charge your downpayment on it.
I put my downpayment on one of my cards.

When I went to look at BMW I brought my dad along, since he wants one as well and just so they wouldn't dick with me considering I'm 23. Anyways everything went great and when I went back to fill out my paperwork my dad had to come again to sign for my old car. He was curious about my credit score since we already knew it was good, just not how good it was. The guy didn't give me the exact number but did say,

"Well you wouldn't have gotten pre-approved for the BMW card if you didn't have a 780 or higher credit score, which you had".

Leaving us to believe that the BMW card is directly connected to how good your credit score is. Just because someone has a M3 doesn't mean shit. I do a lot of work in the hood and see people driving cars they have no business being in all day long. An M3 is no different. Instead of it being a Hemi Charger or 300, it's an M3.

I personally put all my fees on my Amex. I wanted the points!

nice, i kind of wondered about the allowabilityof putting DP onto a ccard, not specifically BMW's ccard even, just any card... great way to use cash back cards etc.

I dunno . That's what the guy told me. Maybe there are different variations of the card? Regular, Platinum, etc??

The BMW credit was pretty easy to get. I charged the fees, taxes and 1st mos payment on it.
