Bmw extended instrument cluster retrofit?

Hello good people of f20addicts,and f21 ofc
I would like to know if one is able to retrofit the extended instrument cluster on a f20,you know the one with the digital glowy things that make kids go bonkers and scream of joy,i have surfed the internet and i have not been able to find a proper thread about this(talking about the price/if i need to have a multifunction steering wheel or not/etc)

Emil, do you mean the multifunctional instrument panel (like in the F10 LCI I have currently)? Those are cool. The extended instrument on the F20 is just digitised on the bottom section, and it's not that big a deal.

I agree. I didn't bother to order it on our car. There is hardly any extra information on it, just some eco graph under the RPM gauge.

It must be possible: why otherwise would they rip off and steal those? Who'd ever need a spare one? No discussions could indicate it's too simple/straightforward (with some coding certainly), no deal to discuss. Try to approach a dealer for the general information and parts and then cut down the installation expenses elsewhere (just don't steal or buy from a doubtful seller ).

I saw a dealer's calculation for stolen extended panel and M Sport steering wheel around 4000$ (approx. 150$ driver's window glass included).

Yes you do according to the configurator.

It's verbose. I don't have or miss it either.

some people might steal it because it looks nice, here in my country its dangerous to even keep those bobbleheads in your cars because little children might steal them.

There's some internal stuff in the steering wheel included: the airbag, the switches, an electronic unit. The (empty) steering wheel and the panel do cost too. And some decoration elements (less expensive). It was parts calculation only, job omitted.

Now sell the BMW then if you find it so annoying.

The only useful upgrade I'd consider in your place would be the better (proper, no "custom xenon" crap, etc!) bulbs to improve the headlights. The rest is up to you, of course, but I wouldn't bother.

You mean the h7 bulbs? Yeah ive been thinking about those too,i have also seen some "performance lights" something like that, havent really been able to find out if they are in any way better thsn the h7's though.....

I mean the complete set. I would consider MTEC sidelights and DRLs: "a crisp white light" should add to both looks and safety (attracting more attention?) as well as compliment your body colour of white. For low/high beam I'd give a try to OEM (BMW Performance) set: better lighting is more important than looks here. If BMW Performance price is hurting go for the cheaper performance ones mentioned there: they shouldn't be as worse as cheaper (if any worse at all!).
