The candidate list for the 2010 North American Car and Truck of the Year award was announced on June 23, 2009.

37 vehicles are on the list, including 4 models from BMW
-- The Z4, 335d, 5-series GT and X5 xDrive35d (up for Truck of the Year).

I hope it will do well, weather you personally like it or not, if it does well, then maybe BMW will spend the cash to develop other "niche" vehicles. If it does poorly, maybe they wont...

I would love for the 335d and X5 diesel to take them, but they wont- I'm guessing it will be the Golf-esp TDI or the Prius (UGH) for the car and the Honda for the truck, they just seem to fit these sorts of contests
