Need Help

Hey fellas,
I have a quick question for you guys. I own a 2009 e60 and am working on a tail light mod called the 'ricky effect' (video below if anyone is curious). Before you leave, this question is not model specific so you can still help haha. I am attempting to build a module to plug in-line with the stock tail light wiring so I don't have to modify my oem harness. I found a wiring diagram and description of the module itself on another forum somewhere.

Can someone help me understand what kind of resistors, diodes, and connectors to buy so I can do this build? Also, where can I find the pins that go into the plugs? The male connector is the same off an e46 taillight (part number #12 52 7 519 956) but I need to know the part number of the female connector (the one thats on the tail light itself)

Mod I'm going for:

(last pic is female connector I need part number of)

Thanks for your help,
Tom
