New car ready for delivery.

All ready on my return to home town next week.

It's been awhile but BMW have my replacement 116i M Sport ready to go.

I won't go into all the faults I had with the other car but BMW stood by their word and replaced it.

My dealer sent me the photo.

I've had the car a week today and been enjoying the upgrade maps and screen. Their is certainly not many of this colour on the road and everyone who has made a comment really like the colour. It is easy to find in carpark buildings for sure.
The car seems to have a bit more get and go but I can only compare with the bigger loan BMW cars I've had over the weeks. I must say being back in the 1 series is great and so much better than the bigger floaty cars.

Smile

The colour sort of reminds me of fresh Falu Red paint which I used to paint my summer house last year.

In real life, Valencia Orange looks more yellow/orange than Falu Red. It it is bit like copper, so it changes hue depending on the light. It is red when poorly lit, and turns almost yellow in the highlights from sunshine.

Black wheels was the only added extra and do look good. Valencia Orange does change colours and does look a darker orange clay brown in the shade. The photos make it look more orange then it really is.

I've never owned a colour like this before I'm usually black, white or silver and only had so far good comments.

BMW manufactured a special release for New Zealand with $15,000 of added extras and $3000 below basic 116i pricing so was a great deal. The new updated LCI 1 series will be back to full pricing with none of the extra's and only has changes to the exterior which softens the look which is a shame.
