That isn't on your wheels exactly, its the brake rotor, and it is normal. I do find it disappointing how this happens with BMWs though, prior to changing cars I had a Lexus IS250, and from new up to when I sold it (about 5 years) this never happened with the brake rotors.

You could get it painted if you wanted to.

Same thing happened to my 130i M, paid a dealer a bit of cash to wire brush the rust off and then apply heat resistant paint to them. Pretty easily tidied up but it does look ugly.

The rotors on the M135i look like a shinier finish. Hopefully a more rust resistant alloy.

As said, quitevugly and dissapointing, but also quite normal with BMW's...happened to all of my previous ones. Nothing to worry about!

Was exactly the same on my Audi. Its an iron disc, as long as it stops my car I don't mind a bit of surface corrosion.
