Traction, traction, traction!

I have been saying it since the first M turbo motor; the low down heap of torque overwhelms the diff and kills the take of and corner exit dynamics.

BMW M; please find a better way to program your e-diff. If Porsche and Ferrari can do it so can you.

...And AWD is the lazy (and heavy) solution.

this is a repost, fastest cars with slowest drivers dont win

Porsche and M4 are definitely favorites and neither showed any of its potential.

m4 burnout shows how incompetent the driver is.

lexus the pig is the slowest wins because the driver could actually drive...

Absolute Rubbish.

No one likable thing about the video. Should've been ladies commentating with all that chatter back and forth.

The driver of the M4 should have been driving a Ford Fiesta ST Cobb. He would have had better luck with the launch control... Fucking Wanker

Even if all 4 drivers had been competent, it was a stupid test. You spend the energy getting those cars and then drag race them? Get some road course lap times or go home.

I have to disagree on this. It's physics. AWD means twice the contact area with the ground that the drivetrain can use to create friction and move forward, there is no substitute for this in order to get more traction. No differential will help you in this regard. Some clever engine programming could reduce the torque such that uncontrolled wheel spin is avoided, but this is already happening if you enable the DTC/MDM mode. If I were a bad driver like in the video, I would just let all the systems on and the result would probably be far better than what came out from that test.

Porsche and ferraris have stickier tires and better weight distribution for traction.
