I'm going to be purchasing a new car soon, a friend recently introducted me to the 3-series and the more I look at it, the more I like it

I'm thinking of one of the following three sedans as a family car: 323i, 328i or 328xi

I'm going to be using it for regular city driving (>15km (~9miles) per day)
- price is important since my budget is limited, I would prefer to get the best deal for the dollar.
- I'm not too sure on the difference between and i and xi, I know one is 2wd and the other 4wd, is it worth it?

which one would you guys recommend?
