Hi everyone,

Purchased my BMW 116i M sport used a few months back from a BMW.

Just a couple weeks ago the steering suddenly started to feel a lot heavier in all driving modes and at high and low speeds, I could instantly tell the difference. Took the car in and they say that there's nothing wrong with the car from the inspection they carried out, not sure how much detail they went into.

Only information I was given by them was one of the front wheels is slightly buckled, and there is some uneven tread on the front two tyres, but they are still road legal. They also suggested a wheel tracking.

Just seeing if I can get any advice from you on here as they said that solving any of the issues they highlighted would not of affected the steering in the way I described to them. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Garage List
did they actually drive it to experience the heavy steering ?

If the Faults you mention were there when you bought it, doesnt sound like they did the heavily advertised checks to be able to offer their renowned used car warranty .....

Don't think that's a good idea considering that would push me to the limit of a full car.

I'm changing over to normal tyres rather than run-flats shortly. I've been told that since they are feathering on the outer edges of the tyre and since they're run-flats, the handling will start to feel heavier.
