1st Recall F20 116i Sport
Hi Guys..
Just a heads up I had a call from local dealer the other day to say that car needed to go back for 2 recall's , went in yesterday and all sorted.. 1. Re-program the main unit something to do with Fan/Pump ? 2. Re-place piece of external trim to stop dust, leaves, etc getting into cooling system ? You might wanna call your dealers and see if its all F20's.. |

My dealer (in Greece) called me aboout a recall concerning a reprogramming of the Air Condition unit....maybe it is the same as the Fan/Pump you are reffering to.

hmm I haven't been contacted either but I think my car could use that aircon-fix. The fan goes high/low sometimes for no reason, is that the issue you guys have aswell? also have an annoying whistling sound when the air blows out the vents at the windscreen anyone else got that?

Some report that the sound disappears permanently after a while.

I've already bookmarked the thread about the rattle-noise from the rear. Once someone have verified there are official solutions from bmw I'll contact my dealer to have all the "glitches" fixed in one bang. |

http://www.1erforum.de/der-neue-1er-...te-106233.html The threadstarter gives this info about what I understand is your problem: -pfeifende autmatik steuerung im kaltzustand der lüftungsklappen, status angeblich softwareupdate vorhanden (alle ab auslieferung) Saying that you need a software update. Here is the main thread about the whistling sound: http://www.1erforum.de/der-neue-1er-...tor-94367.html Another thread about aircon/ventilation: http://www.1erforum.de/der-neue-1er-...en-103825.html Good luck with your German

I'm hearing a noise in mine - it sounds more like a rattle from the engine when at about 1.5kprm, but not under any load. But it could also be a fan/air-con noise - not sure.
