I dunno, I have the feeling there's a lot of wishful thinking in this thread... I don't see much difference if I try to look beyond the camo.

I find it more likely that they're just testing 2er stuff on this.

What a minute! Didn't this car just come out?! And it's a facelift already?!

looks like there's not a great change in appereance on headlights..
but maybe on front bumper..
In my opinion an appereance change at back side ( tail lights and maybe rear door ) is more necessary than at front side..
But bmw is quite conservative in facelift actions.. The most common facelift actions of Bmw are slightly changes on bumpers, fog lights ,front lights and rear lights..
The most aggrasive change i remember is on E90.. Tail lights and boot lid..

Despite the camo looks like the nose still slopes "inwards" going from the top of the nose downwards... So even if they solve the bambi lights the shark nose looks butt ugly... Just as fugly as the original z4. Thank goodness the new z4 is svelte and got rid of the shark nose

How can bmw get the 4 series, z4 and x1 so right and the f20 so wrong?

YAY! Good news!
And the crowd goes:

Hope it will look good!

I hope the normal version now will look good, and that the M-version will look stunning with the facelift!
Oh and let the car have sport mode when electronics are off! That was the 2. thing that ruined the car! Please BMW, fix it! Should be number 1 priority!
Comfort mode when electronics are off??
Normal BMW customers could not care less or even notice. BMW enthusiasts gets annoyed and refuses to buy cars like that..
Im now looking at used E87 + LSD or GT86 since F-series BMWs are programmed so stupid!

The kidney grilles look wider to me. I think what BMW has done here is to make the headlights smaller, the kidneys wider and small revisions to the air intakes in the front bumper.

It's an improvement but I just don't like the 1er design overall. The shape of the car is very weird. That said, sometimes I see some 3 door models that look ok. Usually dark colours with Msport/tints. In its favour the 1er has a nice interior.

the rear end should be completely remodeled; it's horrible

at least Mercedes has a party with the A class, selling like crazy (the car is cute, even if very bad to drive).

I personally don't mind the front of the F20/21.. it's the back that needs sorting out.

Garage List
Looks like it will remain the same but not as drastic and connected to the grille like an F30. Shame.

Go back to my crude reference drawing of the 2er front end and tell me if you see any simularities.

There is no logic to facelift a model that is selling exceptionally well and become critically acclaimed (M135i) by the media to have a facelift this early.
BMW have never performed a facelift this early in a models life cycle. Especially a successful model like the 1er.

So when did the first 3 Series (E21) get its first facelift? ;-)

So what is this if it's not a face-lift?

I saw an F20 not long ago, wearing very little camo, not that far from Oxford, I assumed it was testing the 3 cylinder engine. Is the 3 cylinder F20 maybe getting a different front end?
