Help!! I Busted My Oil Pan

I wrecked my car, however, I am not worried about the body work, I am more concerned about the engine oil pan. I called dealer they quoted me 530$ on the part itself. I've read somewhere that it is not an easy job to replace the pan.
Can anyone give me an advice what to do?

It's easy to replace the oil pan if you know what you're doing. Unbolt the busted pan, clean off the seal, apply new seal and bolt new pan back up. Just remember to put the little magnets back into the new pan.

What about getting the oil pan past the subframe? It's definitely not as easy as you're making it out to be...

Sorry, I have not looked at a z4 arrangement closely as I've only changed the oil a few times through the little trap door and it was pretty tight. I have changed oil pans on VW's, Toyota's and a few other cars. Most of them are not under the subframe.

You could pull the subframe yourself but that is a bit more work than I previously described.

Exactly, subframes in the way, and not all the bolts can be gotten to without removing ancillaries.

Where do you live, I know a good place if you're looking to save some money vs the dealer.

hey guys, the dealer refused to fix it because it was my fault, so I found a guy who did all the work for a very good price.
