Ok I tried googling but I can't see a difference with the interior centre console in the LCI.

Does someone have a better prelci pic?

It's worth noting that the last time BMW change sheet metal as part of an LCI was in 2008 for the MY09 E90 and E91 LCI. I thought BMW would never do that again, so good on them for spending a bit extra money to really spruce up a car mid-life cycle.

And again, I really hope the fact that the appearance of LED headlights and taillights all the way down on the 1-series means that they'll be standard on higher models from here on out (even pre-LCI).

The admins might want to take a look at their coding. Their "press posts" doesn't work AT ALL in Safari.

I think pic 78 is LCI and 79 is pre-LCI.

The biggest difference is in the climate control console.

Also nice work on improving the rear end, this is nice.

Also "Thank you" for making headlights akin to what people that actually know and like cars - find nice.

"Thank you" for not applying this new madness (or virus) of connecting the headlights to the centre grill of the car... which looks like on so many of your new models and many of the other manufacturers jumping on the same band wagon.

Seriously, nice work!
Exactly.
Now the car looks like it should've been from the start.
An excellent but ugly car, just got out of it shell, kudos BMW!
I want this with a B38 please, 118i.

Works fine in Chrome, so maybe Safari is interpreting the code wrong. Who uses Safari anyway??

It's not a mistake. You only get the new bigger knob if you get the professional drive. It doesn't come with Business nav or non-nav models. Only professional nav. We only get professional in the US or the non-nav iDrive, which does indeed have the smaller knob.
No. I actually realised why it's like that. It's actually not a mistake. That model has business nav which probably uses the old pro nav knob and not the touchpad one or the non nav one.

Yeah you're right, it's not working perfectly on the desktop site on my phone. But it works well on the mobile site.

It's a nice car, looks exciting.

Do not understand why BMW does not offer it in the US yet?

It would be a great idea to buy such a fun and sporty car.

Mixed emotions. Mostly good, especially the front but the rear diffuser, hmmm. Integrated reflectors, yuk and it's too fussy.

I like the way the led strip runs inside the taillight. But the housing of it looks too big for the car. Now it looks more x1 or 3 series touring like.

Looks like the metal hasn't changed at the front . Lamps are still massive. Only acceptable on new gawping m sport bumpers. Restyle rather than actually shrinking the overly large lamps. Still not great.

Front is a massive improvement

Just a damn shame that the rear looks like a VW Golf

If it were priced right, this is exactly what I would buy in a heartbeat here in the US. M135 hatch looks great!

Am I hallucinating? Standard LED taillights? Does this mean BMW is finally identifying itself as a premium auto maker? This changes everything.

BTW, love this car! Design is head and shoulders over the droopy last gen! I'm sure it looks even better in person.

You can't compare it to other BMW's though. You have to think of this in terms or the Ford Focus, GTI, Mazda3 and Audi A3's out there. When you put them side by side, and run them around the track, the BMW immediately stands out.

Sorry for not reading, but is this made on the FWD platform they have been talking about for so long? Or is it still RWD?
