125DsA - F20 - 2013 - Valencia Orange

3 months ago I picked up my 125D at the dealer! This is just a great car!

It has the full performance kit (bumper, skirts, splitter, spoiler, interior) which, in my opinion, looks great in combination with the orange

Mods so far:
- Darkened glass front
- VMR V710 19"
- Eibach Pro springs

Stock:

VMR wheels, still without Eibach Pro springs:

Now (wintermode), with Eibach Pro springs:

Things to do:
Paint the VMR wheels in Matte Black. (VMR couldn't deliver them in this color at that time )

Thanks! Unfortunately, no interior pictures but it's the performance interior, with alcantara/carbon accents. Seats are not leather, just the standard sport seats I'll have some pics with the next photoshoot

The car is really nice ! do you have the adaptative suspension ?

For the picture, I think the post production has to be different because of the car color... I think the white balance or the contrast are too agressive for me.

The first pictures are taken with my smartphone so the color looks very orange It's not like in real life.

The last 3 pictures are made by a friend of mine who is really into automotive photography. The color resembles real life pretty good. He tried some different post production with these pictures and he asked others what they thought of it on his FB page. I think he would appreciate your thoughts about it. You can reply on this FB picture!

I have not FB ! But It's my feeling, I'm also a photographer and every one has his own style. This one is, for me, too agressive, the picture not look real... (It's only my feeling, the car still very nice and agressive !)

I do like the high contrast pictures with that Valencia orange.

I want to lower my 118i with Eibach Pro kit springs (with my stock dampers).
Is there a big difference in comfort and/or handling?

I see you live in Belgium, did you go to the 'vehicle inspection' (autokeuring) after you installed the lowering springs?
Some people (with E81 and E87's) didn't go and got away with it, because the Eibach springs are black and the inspector didn't notice the lowering springs when the car was inspected months later.

I live in Netherlands but I'm French, I'm a lot between NL & BE, but my car is in NL registration... The M135i is not yet delivred (only in March) so now I have no informations... You can also ask your questions about the Belgium legislation on bmw-one.com there is a lot of belgium members (french speaking)

The car looks great. The photos taken by your friend look brilliant. I like the fact they look a little surreal. I would imagine the light quality in Belgium is fairly similar to here in Scotland, at least that comes across in the pictures with that low lying winter sun.

I've got the adaptive suspension and I have to say that the comfort is still very high. I like it a lot :-) My previous car was a 120D lowered on Eibach Pro as well and this was A LOT more uncomfortable.

Concerning the vehicle inspection:
- The first inspection is only after 4 years so I've still got a lot of time to concern about stuff like that
- Eibach Pro springs don't form any problem for the inspection, you just need the right paperwork, given by your installer.

There is a zero tolerance in Belgium concerning darkened mirrors. When they inspect it, they ask you to take it off, otherwise your car won't get a green card.
If police holds you while driving, they can ask to take the foil off and/or give a ticket. I'm driving for over a 1,5 years with darkened mirrors in front and so far, so good. Police even held me once, stated that my front window were darkened, but let me continue driving because the front tint was not completely dark. I suppose you won't have this luck with all cops.

FYI: I asked my window tinter to make the front windows a bit lighter than the rear ones, so it looks a bit like the front is not darkened
