Yeah, Mr. Sunshine and Lollipops has made lots of promises on the back of the people who actually are contributing to society.

But hey, what's new, the Romans also catered to the great unwashed so to speak in order to garner votes. The lie-berals are just dusting off an old but used ploy.

(I love My kids very much and understand its just life but WTF. ) How much do you guys pay a babysitter. To go out for dinner its 100 before you get out the door. (15 an hours for 2 and i buy them pizza/dinner) have a few drinks you are at 300 dollars for a night out.
I think op is just pissed at the principal of it all, especially with regards to daycare costs. Just looking to bros for some vent time.

OP, we had dinner with one of the wife's clients. He was telling us about this date night he had with his wife. (Calm down jtodd_fl not going into those details) He and the wife stayed the night at a hotel and hired a sitter to stay home with the kids. Also gave the kids (2 of them) each a $150 limit to spend on a credit card when the sitter took them to the mall. He said that before their date started he was already out $1,000 for the sitter and "spending money" because the kids never stay within their limit. Two girls, obviously have him wrapped around their fingers.

My wife could be making 6 figures and we would have a nanny but she decided that she was going to be the stay at home mom like her mom was and I support it.(read: naturally aspirated BMW) She does work on the weekends because, after all, she has to earn her keep somehow.

Lol op sees no value in it. Why don't you try to stay at home with your kids for a month and see if they're worth $24k a year.

You wanna cheap out? Find relatives (grandparents are best) that are willing to do it for free.

infamousdiz - In all seriousness....If/when you decide to sell the X5M, PM me. I should get the Tom Brady fan club discount too...fuq'n Pats haters

On the kids side - don't even sweat it. It's not like you stop paying for them after they are out of the house....

Private school anyone...? $$$

First Car $$$....then your insurance goes sky high...$$$ with two M's in the fold (See note where I'll buy the X5M at a steep discount )

College expense $$$.....and GRAD school?!?!

Then - they'll move home after college due to a soft job market, and get back on the payroll, only with far more expensive tastes

Wedding $$$....

The list continues......

It's easy enough to say just stay home with the kids, but like others mentioned there's socialization issues that come with that. My kids have been around so many other kids and adults that they are totally comfortable in any situation now, and know how to play and share.

Then there's the impact of being out of the workforce for an extended period of time, also something to consider. And the health of the marriage if one spouse doesn't have adult interactions and becomes bored/needy. Been there, done that. After my divorce I decided I would never again be with someone who wasn't in the workforce. Of course it works in some cases, but I don't want to take that chance again.

You think you have it bad? The Obama Administration is budgeting $17,613/each for the illegal children flooding our borders:

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/ob...rticle/2590078

Of course they are mostly 16-17 years old, so they can go on welfare in a couple of years. Keep both jobs - the government needs your taxes to pay for this - it's using borrowed money to fund it, and that can't last forever.

It makes it easy I don't even have to watch the 4 year old when we go places , he plays, shares and listens to adults. better for others then for us
