Beautiful 996 - Porsche = Timeless ( the 911's - to me at least )

^That 996 has mileage that would do justice to a proper exotic.

Yeah, the guys on the Rennlist board harrass me all the time for not driving it. It is a wonderful car though. I have thought of selling it, but with the market the way it is right now, and the number of Porsches out there, it just doesn't make sense to part with it. Especially given that it has only 3K miles on the odo.

I don't have any of my pix on my laptop (home on spring break) but heres what I've got.

Acoustics -
'05 Martin D-35 (just sold it actually), '05 Taylor 414ce, '00 Taylor 310, '75 Martin D-35 (it was my dads)
Electrics-
'05 PRS Custom 24 Ten Top, '03 Gretch G6119 Chet Atkins Tennessee Rose, '01 Fender Standard Strat

I'll post some pix when I get back next week

Right now my main rig is a Fender Blues Jr w/ a Celestion, but most of the time I play through several Roland Microcubes that are sprinkled through out the house. I love using the MC's on my deck in the summer when I'm BBQ'n.

In addition to these three, I have a Fender MIM 50's Classic Strat, and I just picked up a 57 Am Vintage Reissue Strat, and I'm in the middle of making my first Tele out of a '62 American Reissue neck. My closet is starting to get full.

You've got some sweet acoustics!... Acoustics are a lot of fun, but I haven't been able to find one that I really like and could afford.

Agreed... which is why I have so many. Each one has such a specific sound/playability. I will say, I've played a Martin HD-28 a bunch of times and I think thats the closest I'll ever get to a "perfect" guitar for my taste.

How do you like the Blues Jr? I really want a Blonde Blues Jr but every time I save up for one I end up spending the money on something else (like modding my car).

You seem to like your Fenders... ever play a nice PRS (not some crappy Santana SE model), its like a Strat had an affair with a Les Paul and then the product child of that affair came out on steroids.
I love fenders, even my shitty ass Strat is a lot of fun to screw around on but man, when I whip out that PRS... game over.

The RS is quite a handful tho. Like most Porsches of old, they are quite erm...tail happy. Its got personality and it has tried to kill me a couple times. A love hate relationship haha!
That's why I bought the C4S - being AWD, it's essentially a "Porsche for Dummies!"

4K on the RS?!? Incredible. Just a beautiful machine.

So you're the guy that I'm blasting past on the freeway while I look longingly at all your gear.

My 1991 C4 - still looks pretty good for an 18 year old car. The other is my new PRS Custom 24. I don't have a pic of my other music instruments - mainly electric violins.
