I can't agree that it is NOT a BMW problem; they are the ones that fitted those particular tyres and hence have to take the responsibility of what effect those tyres have on the car. I can agree that they have no control on how those tyres are actually designed and manufactured but they are most definitely in a position to test them on each marque of car they intend to fit them to and then to reject or accept them; in the case of my marque of car, they accepted them and mistakenly so.
Having been in the vehicle maintenance trade for nearly 30 years, this is genuinely the first case I have experienced of extremely noisey tyres on a regular everyday car. Richard |
