ok here I am another Hong Kong M135i future owner
just as I placed my order a few weeks ago, somebody decided to back out on his order, so I ordered a "July production" white M135i, in August I was told that it will arrive sometime next month, but I am not holding much hope here if it is not the case I might ask to change my order because I didnt get the keyless entry that I would like to have (even though they charge like crazy on it) by the way does anyone know if the M135i will be built in Germany or what? my dad's 323i is nothing like his old 330Ci that was built in Germany, its falling apart since day one (rubber seals falling off here and there, door panel falling off, sensors broke down, car stalls, etc... and its less than 2 years old) |

What type of interior trim did you order? Hexagon/blue or Brushed aluminium/gloss black?

Hexagon/Estoril trim, ordered august 21st, est. *production* week 44/45 (~ November 1st). Dealer confirmed there were delays caused by the Hex trim.

I was told that the first production for the hex trim was November.
I had to change my trim to brushed alu or wait till dec for delivery I don't think your car is going to have hex trim as i ordered my car before you. There was an internal comms for them to change the trim to get the cars moving as far as i know. Check with your dealer |

On ordering my dealer already confirmed he had received an internal bulletin on the delays for hex trim.
The car is sold with some kind of discount deal from the importer which requires the car to be on the road before the Nov 15, maybe they managed to secure an earlier slot because of that. But to be honest I think that's just wishful thinking from my side.

Good news, my car has been confirmed for production. Will be delivered to the dealership in two weeks, delivery in three weeks.
That means my car will be ready for pickup when I'm in New York for 10 days So I'll have something to look forward to while I'm on my flight home. |

Hard to say. Best way to find out is to check with your dealer. Eventually my delivery date went from October 27 to September 27 (originally it was August 14). But I don't know if I was lucky or not.

Hi guys,
I'm a (new) old user and I will try to be more active in the future. I ordered a F20 116dA in the beginning of August, week 31 to be precise, with the delivery set on week 39 or 40. Almost full option, but no sunroof, leather and navi. Alpine white, M-sport and drive comfort package, 18", tinted windows and black shadowline. Xenon with adaptive lights, lightpackage, lightassistent, automatic gearbox, Harman/Kardon soundpackage, new extended instrumentpanel and maybe something more.. A couple of weeks ago I read this thread and of course I got a headache... So the day after I had to ask my dealer whether I was also going to suffer by this delay on M-sport F20s. He first said "of course not, haven't even heard of such thing as a delay caused by the M-sport cloth, but I'm on it I will check with some people". Some hours went by and he annonced that the car was delayed 4-6 weeks, by this very reason. Now the car should be delivered week 44-45, maybe before and sadly maybe even after. The reason was that BMW has sold "so many 1er with M-sport" in a short period of time. So I asked him last week if I was supposed to buy a 1er with the same spec when would I have it and he said week 44-45, same as my car that I ordered week 31 haha. Anyway, I forced him to supply me with cloth floormats, BMW Performance kidneys and the iPhone Y-cable. For free

Mine (120d M-Sport) is scheduled for week 46 delivery (ordered around August 10th), but is supposed to go in production this week already (will be delayed if the gearbox isn't available). The dealer said that this was a margin the factory had in case of delays in the delivery of the auto gearbox (apparently, stock issues due to higher than anticipated demand in the US and EU).
According to what he told me on Saturday, adding the M-Sport package (which I did later than adding the auto gearbox) shouldn't cause any delays... Let's hope he was right. Interestingly, my parents ordered a 120d Urban with auto gearbox too from another dealer, they are scheduled for delivery around Oct. 15 (ordered a week or two later than mine), so should go into production around Sept. 24, I guess. |

I have an 116i SE Auto on order.
Ordered mid August and told delivery week 41. I was told last week this has slipped to 44. So perhaps there is a delay with the Auto box. Cheers Lee |

I ordered a manual 116i SE in mid August which has already been built and should be with the dealer this week so it's a good bet the auto box is causing the delay.

Well, I have ordered both the auto and the M-Sport with hex trim, so... I'll keep you updated if I receive news from my dealer.
I was informed of the probable (but unconfirmed) delay due to the auto box even before deciding on the hex trim, so I'll keep you updated if I receive news for a possible (additional?) delay due to the M-Sport finish... or a delay on the second 120d. Man I'd be mad if that Urban arrived before my M-Sport Apparently, there are also 6+ weeks delays on 320d xDrive orders from July / August (lack of production capacity for diffs with the supplier, my dealer told me), so for those waiting for the 120d xDrive, I hope you're armed with a crapton of patience, as I wouldn't be too optimistic with respect to delays. I must emphasize that the info I have all come from my dealer, I do not have other sources. Though that dealer seems quite credible, you all know they're not always reliable, as some tend to be... "imaginative" when they don't have the real answer... Cheers Seb |
