Take a minute and think about this if you will. Think back to all the last times you saw a big character and thought the person they cast for the role was perfect. Or maybe he was all you knew and you didn't know he was perfect until the next guy came in and ruined it. Then, maybe the first guy wasn't perfect, but it was all you ever knew so that became the standard.

I take Robocop for instance. Peter Weller was Robocop, and that other dude in the third movie ruined it all. Or Michael Keaton in Batman only to have Val Kilmer ruin it, and George Clooney make it silly. (Christian Bale was the bomb, though, and I think better than Keaton)

With that said, and these being the comic movies we are all seeing for the first time, are we experiencing the best because they were first, all we've known, or because they really are the essence of what we imagine the character to be?

Ryan Reynold - Deadpool
Hugh Jackman - Pulverine (hehe)
Robert Downey Jr. - Tony Stark/Iron Man

I didn't like Eric Bana as Banner, nor Ed Norton. Mark Ruffalo is perfect, and is even the third person to play it.

It's a great time for these types of movies and I'm so excited they're getting a justified treatment.
