folding mirror settings

Hi all
Can the folding operation of the mirrors be changed in the sub menu?

At present, you lock the car with one push of the remote 'lock' button then you have to press it agin and hold it down for several seconds before the mirrors fold.

I would prefer to have the mirrors always fold away when you lock the car (one press) with the lock button.

pretty sure BMW removed that option because cars were having motors burn out on the mirrors.

I was wondering that very same thing as well, but couldn't find any settings in iDrive.

Definetely not something that can be programmed through the iDrive. In the older models, it could be done by the dealer, but I do not know if it is programmable anymore. If it is, it will be only by the dealer.

Do you need to order any optional extras to get the folding mirrors option?
Also, does the F20 have heated mirrors as standard?

Mine arrives next week, its just a standard 120d M-Sport; only optional extra is metallic paint!

Thanks

You will have heated mirrors , folding mirrors are an optional extra.

They do push in manually however.

Of course it is extra, it is a BMW we talking about.

If it was a cheap Korean car it would have been included Ha Ha Ha

Remember heated mirrors do not work in ECO PRO, I thought mine didn't have them until I tried them in Comfort... toasty.

So is there a way to "lock and fold"? Without pressing or touching the lock button/handle for ages? Please help.

Oh, I'll try that thanks. Heated rear window works in Eco you'd have thought you would tie it in with that in Eco mode.

Not in the UK, they are standard.. Well on the Sport and M Sport anyway, can't confirm on anything lower.

I'd like to know how easy it would be to retrofit folding mirrors to the f20. When I ordered my car I didn't have a garage but now I've moved it'll be kept in a rather tight garage

Depends on how deep your pockets are.

New mirrors
New switchback for the drivers door.
New looms for the mirrors
Coding
Labour

About 800-1000 I'd recon.
