Is there a way put some memory in the Start-Stop button?
F. ex. with coding or some procedure?
I'm not too happy with this EU directive making our cars stop and start all the time and I'm sure it's a lot of stress to the auxillery components... I saw there was a company able of pulling it off but it was something like 80-100 euros.. |

Do you happen to have more info on the coding itself? |

Thanks, really, I will definitely check this out! Btw, do you have any experience with any of the OBD adapters (or the app)? |

Starting the car is a two-button process. I only wonder if I'm being monitored when I do this :/ |

It works a lot better with manual gears. It will only kill the engine if you shift to neutral and disengage the clutch. Press the clutch pedal, and the engine comes alive again. If you accidently choke the engine yourself, just step on the clutch pedal, and the car starts it again for you. Except for stop and go traffic, I leave this feature enabled.

In my wife's 2014 VW Golf TSI it's smooth as ever and nothing you'll normally notice... if it wasn't for the 0.5-1 second delay everytime you have to pull out on to the road/intersection it's working well :-) Not that I'm too happy with the Golf as there's constantly someting wrong with it, and it's bland. I had some semi-scary moments thinking I was accelerating and instead I just stood there and suddenly the car leaps forward. And even though I doubt she'd ever notice the system is there or what it is doing I had it coded.. so it's gone. I will see if I can code the "problem" away.. |
