Hi all,

2014 F20 M135i, just picked the car up a couple of weeks ago and the alarm isn’t working.
Checked it by locking with window down and waving my arm through it.
Idrive is set for indicators to flash when arming or disarming, but that doesn’t work.
No fault codes.
Any ideas please?

Do the indicators flash when locking/unlocking with the remote, and when using the key in the door lock?

My 2014 116i sport doesn't seem to have volumetric sensors as open windows or dog inside doesn't set it off.

It does sound if I open the driver's door and then use the key to lock it, then the remote must be used to cancel it.

Wow, just waved my arm in the front passenger window and the alarm did sound.

I left the a rear window right down all night and it didn't so it must be relatively insensitive.

No indicator flash at all when locking / unlocking at all, really weird

Maybe you don't have the alarm system?

Enter your vin into one of the vin decoders such as mdecoder.com

This will give you the build spec (VO) of your car and S302 under ENVIRONMENT & SAFTEY is alarm system.

If you do have it, then maybe a previous owner has disabled it.

The Bimmercode app can be used to reactivate them.

Yeah I put it through mdecoder.com and it does have the alarm, so yeah, might be worth trying with bimmercode, cheers.

Annoyingly the high beam assist doesn’t work either!
